This is a beautiful trek that follows the ancient caravan route to Tibet. We pass through the valley of Lingshi & Laya whose inhabitants are predominantly nomads with their own unique dialects & tradition. And these valleys abound with abundant wildlife & rhododendrons of different hues & colour. Views of Mt. Chomolhari & other majestic peaks can be had along the trail.

Day 01 :Arrival at Paro.

Day 02 :Full day sight seeing tour in Paro.

Day 03 :Trek to Shana ( alt 9184/ 2800 m). still follow the "Pachu" Distance 22 Km 5/6 hours.

Day 04 :Jangothang (chomolhari base camp) 13051 ft/ 4040 m.Distance 19 Km - 5/6 hours. stop at Tengethang to see winter homes of Yak herdsmen. Close view of Mount Chomolhari and Jichu Drake from camp.

Day 05 :Lingshi( 13612 ft/ 4150m) . Distance 19 km - 5/6 hours. cross Nyelela pass alt. 13940 ft/ 4250 m.

Day 06 :Chebisa (12628 ft/ 3850m) . Distance 14.5 km - 3/4 hours. Morning visit Linshi Dzong. After arrival at Chebisa guests can visit village house.

Day 07 :Shomuthan(13612/4150m), Distance 17 km - 4.5/5.5 hours. Cross gobula pass alt. 14268 ft/ 4350m.

Day 08 :Robluthan(14530/ 4430m). Distance 14km- approximately 5 hours, Cross Jarila alt. 15088 ft/ 4600m. Stop at Tsai Jathang to see Takins if lucky.

Day 09 :Laya (12628 ft/ 3850m) . Distance 29.5 KM - 7/8 hours. Cross Shinjela pass alt. 16072 ft/ 4900m.

Day 10 :Laya Res. Visit house and mix with local people Evening dance by villagers.

Day 11 :Konar Trek along Mochu river and then into forest. Where one can see musk deer. Takin and various kinds of birds , Days trek 7/8 hours.

Day 12 :GSA Dzong is an outpost fort guarding the trade route to Tibet. Down by the ri9ver side is GSA- hot spring, worth a dip, 5/6 hours.

Day 13 :Tashithang the trail follows the Mochu river through thick forest, and passes via Gon vilage known for its folk songs and dances 8/9 hours. The road to Punakha starts there.

Day 14 :Khuruthang Drive along Mochu river into fertile valley of Punakha and visit the historical Dzong, The seat of Jekhenpo and winter residence of the Dratsang, the biggest body of monks,vernight at Khuru camp.

Day 15 :Thimphu Drive to wangdiphodrang, visit the castleand on to Dochula pass,stop by Dochula cafeteria for lunch. then a pleasant one hour drive to Thimphu.

Day 16 :Thimpu full day sightseeing tour.

Day 17 :Depart early morning to Paro airport

BLACK MOUNTAIN TREK

Black Mountain range nearly divides the country in two, running from the north at the Tibetan border to the south, rich in wild life at the sanctuary of Manas. The big monastery of Pema Lingpa lineage at Gangte and small beautiful active gompa at Gogana are worth visiting. The route follows rich rhododendron forests and typical villages.

Day 07:Trek to Gogana after crossing Shobjula pass 11,155 ft. Camp near gompa.

Day 08:Trek to Phobjikha after crossing Tsele La Pass. Camp below Monastery 5/65 hours

Day 09:Ascend gradually to cross the pass on Pele La range and descent to Rukubi village for camp 5/6 hours.

Day 10:Drive to Tongsa and then to Bumthang for O/N

MANAS TREK

This trek offers wild life adventure, trekking through wild areas of dense forest along Mangi Chu to wild life sanctuary of Manas near Indian border. The area of Khen Dzongkha has very little contact with the outer world and the ethnic tribe of khengpas lead a life quite different to the other people of Bhutan. This trek is ideal for winter months Nov/ Feb. Manas wild life National Park, a home of Bengal Tiger, rhinoceros and many species of wild animal and birds is considered the top in wild life experience.

Day 07:Trek commences from yebi Lapcha towards Mangdichu and camp at Zurphey 3 hours.

Day 08:Trek to Gongphu alt. 2100 ft, for camp, about 7hrs.

Day 09:Trek to Panthang along the river to lower altitude 10ft, for 7 hours.

Day 10:Trek to Panbang after crossing the river by bamboo bridges, it is the confluence of Tashigang & Mangdi Chu alt.800fts, about 6 hours.

Day 11:Trek along the river to the plains of Manas, After crossing the river on wooden ferry arrive at Manas wild sanctuary, alt 500fts, about 5 hours.

Day 12:Day at leisure.

Day 13:Wildlife Safari tour on elephant

Day 14:Drive to siliguri. O/N

Day 15:Depart from Bagdora or drive to Biratnagar for flight to Kathmandu.

CHOMOLHARI TREK

There is very little tourist traffic on the pristine trekking routes in Bhutan. Naturally one has the pleasant sensation of breaking fresh ground on treks in Bhutan.

The Chomolhari trek follows the crystal clear true rich upstream trail of Paro Chulalong the verdant rhododendron canopied forests and salubrious green alpine meadows. Mt Chomolhari, having one of the most beautiful peaks in the Eastern Himalayas, stands at a magnificent 7300 m with age old frontier forts and sprawling yak pastures in its foreground: a truly rewarding sight for the determined trekker. In the course of the trek, one will have sojourned through several places rich in history in the paro, Thimphu and Punakha valleys.
