FLY IN FLY OUT EVEREST BC KALAPATHAR TREK

This is a very popular trek for those who want to see Everest & yet have time constraint. The trek offers magnificent close range views of Himalayan mountains including Mt. Everest, rich insights into the Buddhist culture & traditions of the Sherpa community. We fly to Lukla airport & from there continue up to Namche Bazar, the biggest Sherpa settlement, going as far as to Tengboche Monastery (14,000 ft) where annual Mani Rimdu festival is held. We return via Kumjung visiting Kunde Monastery, Shyangboche & Namche to Lukla.

Starting from Lukla we gradually ascend through the Sherpa heartland allowing enough time for acclimatization by visiting monasteries & Sherpa families. We will visit the famous monastery of Tengboche where annual Mani Rimdu festival takes place. After visiting Chukung Ri we trek to Lobuche & then take a day hike to Kalapatar.

This trek demands very systematic ascends due to the more chances of getting effected by the Acute Mountain Sickness, so please take it very slowly and gradually allowing your system to adjust accordingly as you go. The trial follow the Dudh-Koshi Valley and then comes out to the. Tengoche a place of most active monastery in the Khumbu regions and to the highest point Kalapathar and the Everest Base Camp eventually and feeling of the proximity to the mountains will be always there.

This is certainly the most popular trek in the Everest region going as far as Everest Base Camp. The incredible mountain scenery from atop Kalapatar is an unforgetable experience.
