Jumla to Rara Trek

The airstrips to Surkhet and Jumla open the trek route the beautiful lake Rara.A long mountain paths and a series of picturesque villages ,one reches in foru to five days the magnigicent banks of the Rara lake ,Rara lake ,northwest of Kathamdnu is and exhilarating 4 - 5 days trek from Jumla air - strip.Jumla is a trans - Himalayan valley with high ridges covered with forest and alpine pastures.The route is very much off the beaten tracks and offord glimpse of cultures and scenery much differnt from that in the rest of Nepal.Jumla town ( 2340m) is located in a delightful valley and the villages have many archelogical monuments dating bakc to the medieval times.  

Rara Lake is 28 kilometers north of Jumla .It is situated at and altitude of 2,980 m .The Rara national parik hoses Musk - Deers,Goral,Serows,Wild dogs and the Himalaysn black bears.It also houses colourful birds such as blood Pheasants Snowcocks etc!
