Langtang-Helambu

To the north of Kathmandu lies Helembu, a small & vibrant Sherpa village. Starting with a short drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal, the trail climbs gradually on to the Shivapuri ridge from where there are sweeping views of the Central Himalayas. Continuing further on we pass the village of Tharepati, Melamchi Gaon & ultimately arrive at Tarkegyang, the principle village of the area. It is a beautiful village with a Buddhist monastery. We return via Sermathang before descending down to Melamchi river.

Langtang Valley & Gosainkunda

The Langtang Valley, inhabited by Sherpas, lies to the north of Kathmandu in the middle of the Great Himalayan Range on the Tibetan border. This valley is rich in natural vegetation, dense forests & is home to rare red pandas, blue sheep & birds. We begin our trek by driving to Dhunche & gradually trek up the terraced fields to Shabrubensi (1500m) situated at the confluence of the Trisuli & the Langtang Khola. We then visit Gosiankund Lake & then crossover to Helambu & end our trek at Sundarijal.
