Expenses for visas:
Entry visa: 30 USD (valid 60 days)
Double Entry: 40 USD (useful for who travels also to Tibet)
Multiple Entry: 60 USD For multiple exits and re-enters.
Extensions: All successive months permitted: 50 USD
Attention: You can
remain as a tourist only cumulatively up to 150 days per one year and
not more than 90 in one time. There is no per day extension, so you have
always to pay 50 USD, even for an extension of 3 days! For the last
permitted month, you have to show "reasonable grounds"
Trekking Permits and
regulations
For most trekking you do not require anymore a trekking permit!
For rafting you get the permit through the organizing agency.
For alpine climbing activities you need a permit, which you can get only
through a Nepalese Trekking agency.
For Paragliding, fishing, hunting, scientific research you have to
obtain a permit from the concerned ministries through an agency.
All ministries concerned for other permits are located in the premises
of the Shinga Durbar (Parliament) complex.
